Why An International Undergraduate Degree?

Look around. The increasingly globalized world requires more and more culturally aware workers. With unemployment reaching record rates in many countries, employers are looking for individuals who stand out from the crowd. One way in which you can do this is by receiving an international undergraduate degree - either an international bachelor’s degree or an international associate’s degree.

A potential employee with an international degree, such as an International Relations Degree or an Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, will stand out much more than a job-seeker who has never visited anywhere more than fifty miles from where he or she was born.

A company that hires an employee with an international BBA can rest assured that their employee understands how different cultures operates and is not afraid to learn new skills. Getting an international degree shows that you have what it takes to travel to another country and get to know their way of doing things while also receiving a formal education.

Understanding the Differences Between Undergraduate Degrees: Associate’s Degree vs.  Bachelor’s Degree

Although you can receive international Associate's degrees and international bachelor’s degrees from many different institutions, the question remains: which is the better option for you? International Associate's degrees take less time to complete, usually about two years. The holder of an international Associate's degree has shown that he or she understands the advanced concepts taught at a post-secondary level.

International bachelor’s degrees usually take approximately four years to complete, and indicate that the recipient understands a particular field in an in-depth manner. Examples of bachelor’s degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, a BBA (Bachelor’s of Business Administration),  a Bachelor’s in International Relations degree, and a Bachelor of Science in Media & Communication.

International Relations Degree, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, and Other Undergraduate Degrees

You can receive an undergraduate degree in virtually any field in which you can study domestically. However, you will also gain the knowledge and self-confidence that comes with studying internationally for your undergraduate degree. If you opt to study for an international relations degree, you will gain a deeper understanding of how countries relate if you view these operations from a position outside of domestic life.

If you study for a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, you will come to understand both computers and data systems as well as how social systems interact around the globe. If you opt for a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree, you can understand how businesses operate on a global level better than somebody understanding business locally can.
