The Associate degree is 2-year degree that serves as the foundation for many college students and for the pursuit of a Bachelor's degree.  The degree serves as evidence to potential employers that the degree holder has attained a basic foundation in communication and critical thinking skills, skills necessary for success in today's workplace. Additionally, an Associate degree provides a framework for acquiring new knowledge, which is vital to pursuing a Bachelor's degree and to adapting to change in the work environment.    

The Associate of Arts (AA) degree requires  the successful completion of 60 U-credits (90 E-credits) either online or on-ground. It is awarded to students completing the core program as described in the course catalog.
